Well our new boutique has been open for about 10 days, so far so good, customers seen well pleased, and we've made substantial progress in this short length of time.  Facebook is a good tool for advertisement, we've also been busy networking on the community level as well.

My business partner and I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Brandon White at an event sponsored by the Etowah Chamber of Commerce.  He came by our shop the next day.  If any of you haven't met him, take time to do so.  Mr. White was very encouraging, a very nice man!

The Boho Chic Boutique is doing great.  Facebook and word of mouth have been great advertisement.  We've already established a few regular clientele.  My business partner and I are planning to join the Gadsden Chamber of Commerce, as they offer some great networking benefits for our business.  November 21, from 5 until 9 p.m. is "Downtown Gadsden Girls Night Out."  All merchants will be offering horderves, as well as free gifts,  Hope to see you there.

I would like to touch base on the subject of location.  I have entertained the idea of a physical location and that would be great to have, but I could take the money that has to be spent on overhead (rent, utilities, ect.) and invest it in my product line.  I have decided not to do a physical location at this time.  However, I am working on a website with an online catalog and secure payment methods.

I am currently in the process of designing and manufacturing a line of plus size clothing.  As you all know brand is very important, just as the name of a company.  There is a great opportunity in retail in the plus size market.  While we at Bohemian Gypsy do not encourage weight gain or unhealthy eating, we realize that it is important to look and feel good about yourself at any size.  We would like to eventually have a celebrity spokesperson who is plus size, and the everyday customer can relate to.

Just added a few more items to the plus line.  I was doing a little research this weekend, and while I wear a 16, I can sometimes find clothing in the ladies.  Most of the time these styles do not reflect my personality and they cater to an older customer.  Ok back to the research, 2 out of 7 stores had clothing in the plus sizes that I would actually wear. While some of the actual styles were ok, the print on the fabric was terrible (big flowers do not belong across a big butt).   I will defanatley be adding hippie chic plus sizes every week.  I feel there is a market for this need.  Enjoy the pics,  hope to hear from you!
